Bat Cat! - Performance of Flash Player (in Safari) on Snow Leopard is crap.

Just installed Snow Leopard yesterday and the performance of Flash Player in the browser it atrocious!
I’ve made a quick graphic to show the differences between various machines running Safari (various versions). Hopefully we’ll have a fix soon!

UPDATE: This is only within the Safari Browser, It works great in Firefox!

Adobe… you suck!

I’m a bit confused… I’ve just been pricing out how much It would cost me to upgrade from a previous copy of Macromedia Suite I had - checked the Us Adobe site and It’s $499 to upgrade (works out to about £250) if you choose the download version… not much if you ask me… Then I check the UK site… and my jaw drops; For the privilege of living in the UK yet downloading the exact same version, it’s going to cost £515. Yes. More than double the US version, this converted to US dollars is £1,011.13. Why? I really don’t know - but all I’m saying is it helps to have mates in the States

Lesson learned.

Yesterday was a little bit of a disaster for me. I’ll explain.
Last week I finally decided that, yes I had infact run my wee MacBook into the ground after 8 months - spotlight wouldn’t work, things crashed and certain programs wouldn’t install (ironically the mac disk cleaner/utility Onyx was one of these). So anyway I decided a complete re-install was on the cards and started the laborious (and frankly gay) task of rounding up everything I needed - Client work, Uni work, documents, music, video, fonts, emails, photos, memories etc - Last time I forgot to back up fonts and lost all of them, so this time I was extra-uber-mega-careful about making sure I’d got everything I needed.
Well I didn’t.

Fu. King. Shite.

One little folder was left out (htdocs you mutha-fudge-licker), and now I have the task of trying to re-create an entire flash website that had taken me hours and hours in half that time.
I was that annoyed I nearly looked up Stevie Wonder jokes on the internet.
Meh.
